Italy, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Greece and France:  an incredible synergic effort to test the BENEFIT-Med target species under different climatic conditions around the Mediterranean Area. UNIPV TEAM with the support of INNOVA-TECH agronomists: field trials performed in North-Western Italy. Orphan legumes did very well and showed significant benefits in response to seed priming treatments. UFAS1: after the disappointing results of the 2023 trial, caused by extreme drought condition in Algeria, orphan legumes, performed well at the Setif pilot site, particularly Trigonella showed a a good growth performance. Orphan legumes fields in Greece: the potential of the BENEFIT-Med agrosystem is being assessedby AUA and BPI. Good news also from Morocco where orphan legumes are performing well.
